How we handle your information

Last updated September 18, 2026

What we collect

When you submit a form on this site we record what you typed, the page you submitted from, your IP address and your browser's user agent. We keep it so an inquiry is never lost to an email delivery failure, and so we can tell which parts of the site are actually useful.

Candidate profiles

The profiles published at /talent are the part of this site that handles personal information most carefully, so the rules are stated plainly rather than buried:

  • Submitting a form never publishes a profile.
  • A public profile is created only after a separate conversation and your explicit written consent. We record the date of that consent and how it was given.
  • Published profiles carry no name, no current employer and no specific unit. They describe capability, background at a coarse grain, and the role you are seeking.
  • You can have your profile removed at any time, for any reason or none, by emailing ewisecup@blackpowderholdings.com. We do not ask why.
  • Profiles are removed automatically once you are placed.

We are honest about the limit of anonymization: a narrow enough combination of branch, rank, clearance and location can identify someone regardless of what is left out. That is exactly what the consent conversation is for, and why you approve the wording before anything goes live.

Who we share it with

Inquiries go to Black Powder Search staff. Candidate details are shared with a prospective employer only when both sides have agreed to an introduction. We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to advertising networks.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are stored in a Supabase database in the United States. Email notification is handled by Resend. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages.

Getting a copy, or getting it deleted

Email ewisecup@blackpowderholdings.com and we will send you what we hold, or delete it, as you prefer.
