# Erik Wisecup

Partner, COO

Erik is Partner and COO at Black Powder Search, where he connects veterans with industry executives and hiring managers. He runs the engagement process end to end and is the person most clients speak to first.

Previously Erik was Head of Corporate and Investor Relations for Canaccord Genuity's Alternative Capital Team, acting as liaison between corporate clients and investors. He specializes in developing and executing operational strategy, business development with corporate clients, shaping corporate narrative, and building relationships with growth-focused investors.

Prior to Canaccord Genuity, Erik served honorably in the U.S. Navy's Special Operations community, and has consulted with companies and federal and university laboratories on R&D and T&E, product commercialization, and government contracting. Erik holds an M.S. from Columbia University and an MBA specializing in Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He currently holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
